RAWI’s third national conference will bring together Arab American, Arab, and Anglophone-Arab writers of all genres in performance, critique, and conversation. This year’s conference will feature 18 critical panels by leading Arab American scholars and writers, 6 roundtables and creative writing workshops, and five reading performances. The conference will take place at the Palmer Commons conference facility on the campus of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The conference program will be posted shortly. All RAWI members will have access to the RAWI website (www.rawi.org) and all its networking features. By joining RAWI, you know you are supporting a prominent organization that is focused on Arab American arts and culture.

AZZOUMA (AWARDS NIGHT) DINNER (optional)
The conference will conclude with an awards dinner event on Saturday, June 5th at 6:30 pm. The dinner costs are as follows:
Regular: $50 per person
Student*: $30 per person

ACCOMMODATIONS
RAWI has negotiated a pre-tax rate of $89.00 per room at the Four Points Sheraton Ann Arbor. To guarantee this rate, the hotel requires that reservations be made by May 11, 2010.

For participants who wish to stay at other hotels, we recommend that they acquire rooms in hotels that have shuttles to the University of Michigan central campus. The conference will be held at the Palmer Commons facility at the university.

TRAVEL TO ANN ARBOR
The Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) is the nearest airport to Ann Arbor. The airport website is http://www.metroairport.com/
Participants arriving at DTW will need to take cabs or shuttles to Ann Arbor. Taxis can be taken immediately at the airport or pre-arranged. Rides to and from DTW and Ann Arbor average around ($50.00). Four Point Sheraton Ann Arbor is pick up/drop off location for the Michigan Flyer which provides non-stop service to/from Detroit Metro Airport for approx. $30 round trip per person. Conference participants can make their own reservations for this service by visiting the website at http://ww.michiganflyer.com/

The book display area will be located in a prominent space for promoting your publications. Space is limited so reserve your table soon. Payment received by January 15, 2010 will allow your staff to participate in all conference activities and events. We will confirm your space upon receipt of your reservation and payment.
